Caring For Them was inspired by a deeply personal experience. Several years ago, Mindy Dickson, our Chief Service Officer, and her brothers were suddenly faced with difficult decisions about their mother’s care. LaRue’s needs had grown beyond what the family could safely provide at home, and they had a very short timeframe to determine the best long-term care solution for her.
Like so many families, they were overwhelmed. They were balancing jobs, emotions, uncertainty, and the pressure of making one of the most important decisions for their mother’s future. They searched online, spoke with friends and family, and sought guidance anywhere they could. But reliable answers were hard to find, and they often didn’t even know the right questions to ask.
Eventually, they found a national placement organization, but the experience still felt impersonal and incomplete. Recommendations seemed driven more by referral fees than by what was truly best for their mother. The family was left coordinating facility tours, managing schedules, and trying to remember all the important questions on their own during an already exhausting time.
That experience led to one simple realization:
THERE HAD TO BE A BETTER PROCESS.
Caring For Them was created to provide the kind of support Mindy’s family wished they had. WE personally screen every facility we recommend, and in most cases, we handle the legwork for you. WE contact the facilities, WE schedule the visits, WE guide conversations, WE ensure you get the answers needed so YOU NEVER FEEL ALONE IN THIS PROCESS.
Our goal is simple: to bring clarity, compassion, and peace of mind during one of life’s most difficult transitions.
Thank you for allowing us the opportunity to serve your family in this most difficult time.
There had to be a better process.
Sincerely,
David Dickson
